EACH YEAR WE TAKE A WEEK TRIP ON THE BOAT. jUST FANILY NO LAPTOPS ,IPADS.CELLPHONES. iMAZING WHAT YOU CAN LEARN ABOUT YOUR FAMILY DURING THAT WEEK. We all hate the first 2 days seems the world is cut off but it is soon gone. The kids are stuck on the boat and love it after the second day. We go all up and down the east coast. Williamsburg for the wife, was a blast. Two years ago. We had to stop in Mantio for the lost colony for my star struck daughter. We try to put somthing in the mix for everyone. There happend to be several subs in Norfalk my sunenlaw was just amazed. When we followed one out into the bay he had his thrill. When we circled the war ships in the James river he went crazy with the camera.Ahhh thanks Tim -- you got it right. The quality of time spent on the boat with the family is really hard to explain in words and pictures. I think only those of us lucky enough to experience it can understand. Best bad investment I've ever made. Had a tough year with our business, but wife already told me to downsize the house before letting the boat go -- she gets it too. Sadly, we lost the dog (Lucy) 2 weeks after that pic was taken to lymphoma. But you're right -- she was content on that boat, even on her deathbed.
Thanks for reminding me to enjoy the time with the kids now - it's easy to get distracted. Before you know it I'll be changing the name of the boat to add a son in law like you![]()
