While hauling Kismet out for the survey about a month ago, the yard (Pleasure Cove Marina in Pasadenda, MD), cracked the port splash rail and caused a small stress crack on deck outside the pilothouse. Both were obvious and the yard manager quickly commented, "Bill, if you keep her I'll fix her. Jeff, if you buy her, bring her over and I'll take care of the repairs".
Needless to say, I bought her and called Pleasure Cove back a week later to arrange the repairs + a FB support pole that had a small leak going into the lazarette. We dropped her off for a week and they were a couple of days behind because of 4 days of rain. They finished as we prepared to depart and I went to the shop to pay my tab for the things I figured I should pay for....NO CHARGE. They were adament and I was obviously appreciative.
So here's my plug. When in the Annapolis area, visit Pleasure Cove Marina. They're just north of Annapolis on the mainland side. Easy marina to navigate, great slips, exceptional service and attitude. Oh, and a great restaurant/bar with tons of TV's.
While chatting with Brent, the marina manager (and owners son), I learned that they're breaking ground on a 12 MILLION Cubic Foot INDOOR facility. Large enough to store up to 110' and any beam. Fully computerized with web access to see your boat and monitor her vitals while away. Very cool stuff.
Again, it's nice to see some people "get it" with regards to customer service! I for one, will seek these types of businesses out and give them my business.
