I think it lost a fight with some concrete to do that kind of damage.

Man I hate seeing a great boat end up like this. Sadly I doubt anyone will fix her as she will cost so much more to fix than she’ll ever be worth again.

Likely done as it s not worth fixing but again you can see the hull didn't fail after a couple of hits like lesser boats. It took a lot of grinding to breach the hull.

Same with my rub rail (now redone) It looked like someone had used a grinder. No cracking.

It had "Powered by John Deere" stickers on it by the hatteras name. That'd be a double shame if it was re-powered.

I feel bad for the poor guy who has to dispose of the leftovers. It's not easy cutting them up.

They weren't built to be scrapped. They were built to last.

What a huge undertaking that is. I did dispose of a boat that way years ago. The permits, inspections and other b.s. made it not worth doing.

As far as making a good artificial habitat the fiberglass is not bad as sealife will attach and grow well.
