Anchor size

I Am looking to upgrade my anchor from a 66 pound delta to a 100 pound Suncor plow master I have a 1991 67 foot cockpit motor yacht. My question is will this anchor fit the standard Hatteras pulpit and will it go through the shoot and is the shank to long? Here are the specs of the new proposed anchor? Just wondering if anyone else has done this?

Not sure about the Suncor, is it a similar shape to your Delta? I have an 88lb Delta and the shank is too tall to get the anchor all the way up to the ideal position. Hasn't caused and real issues in rough conditions, but it's not 100% "right" either. I have seen guys have a couple of triangle shaped plates fabricated that get the roller down a few inches so the lower crook of the shank comes up snug to the roller.

100 pounder on a 67 footer is ok but personally I'd go with something a little bigger, just to have some holding power reserve on those crappy days.

The shank doesn't look that tall, the shape of the flukes should clear the pulpit and allow the anchor to snub in pretty rightly.

Looks pretty much like a CQR although with a sticker shock level price tag should hold well in sand, rocks, weed and hard mud but I would worry a bit in soft mud, especially if not oversized.

If you have to modify the chute, it is no big deal. I did that to fit a 75# SuperMax on my 48MY. Lowered the roller just enough to allow it to come up on the roller properly.
