Hatteras Model
58' MOTOR YACHT-Series I (1977 - 1980)
Had a new bronze unit installed less than two years ago and the temperature is now reading 130°. Worked perfyuntil about a month ago, then suddenly almost 50 degrees high. Anyone else have a similar issue?

Thanks

What's it hooked up to?

What's it hooked up to?

N2K network with a bunch of Maretron displays all over the boat. 5 DSM150’s, 2 DSM250’s and a TSM800C.

Did you upgrade the firmware on anything in the system

Check the power and grounding.

Check the power and grounding.

Thanks Scott - there are 3 12V power sources and three grounds for the entire N2K nework(s). I don’t think any of those are suspect since all of the other bells and whistles are working perfectly , but will double check.

Called Airmar, its always such a nice surprise when a knowledgeable person answers the phone on the first try. I'm just under warranty, and fortunately it is a removable unit with the temporary plug tie wrapped on the bulkhead.

I'd feel better if I knew the cause, but according to Airmar it is likely a rare thermistor failure.
