AFT deck wing door latch needed

Hello-

I am looking for a AFT deck wing door latch assembly. They are no longer available through our host so I am reaching out to the forum in case someone either has one or knows where one could be found. This is off of a 1976 58' YF.

I may have one but won't know until I get the boat in two weeks. If I do the handle is a lever. Does that make a difference? Do you need the complete asembly?

Hi, I think I need the whole assy. The inside on mine is totally rusted out and unsaveable. The assy has a lever on one side and a round knob on the other. I'll get a detailed pic tonight, otherwise I'm in no hurry....just have it on the list! Thx-

I'll send you info and pho once I get there. Hopefully I have what you need. If nothing else you should be able to take the unit to a good locksmith and gave it rebuilt if all the parts are intake.

I think there was thread awhile back about this. I believe I saved a link to a site that sells these on my favorites. I am not certain if we can post links to other vendors so PM if you don't have any luck.

OK, I will post a better picture - and any link to a prior thread would be helpful.

As for the internal parts on this particular latch, all that's left is a lump of red scale. Nothing is salvageable. The external parts (Knob, lever and plates) are good enough to put back together and at least fill the holes, but that's about it.

I just replace both of mine with perko assemblies. Dont know if they were the originals but they were an exact match

I just arrived at the boat to find I do not have the door mechanism you are seeking. I have the side door locks but not the aft. Good luck.
