Aft Deck Floor Covering

Its time to replace our aft deck rubber backed carpet. We looked at Aqua Mat by Corinthian but the colors we like only come in 8.5 foot width which means a seam in the middle of the floor. We don’t want to spend the money on teak or use the float style floor covering. However we do want a durable water proof floor covering but hope to have no seams. Our aft deck is roughly 15’X13’. What have others used?

We used Infinity woven vinyl, love it, I have it in both of my boats, however you will have one seam, I think it is 12 feet wide, but a good installer can make that seam and you will never see it, in fact I have to look extremely close to see mine. John

i to have the woven vynil. It is a little slippery and when it gets rough the furniture tends to slide more easily. Pretty easy to clean and yes there will be a seam. Seems durable.

We used a product call Lonseal vinyl. PlasDeck sells this. Make a template and have the CNC the pattern. They split the Holly line. Joint is invisable. Use their glue.

Ron’s comment on Lonseal is right on. If you use it don’t cheap out on the glue, use there’s and lots of pressure. A heavy roller works great.

Three years ago we had a www.marinetuft.com carpet made. Its sold in the USA. Still looks good, no fading. Seamless joins. Worth a look.
