Any recommendations on wind instrument make / model / type? I drive (especially when docking) mainly from the pilothouse of my 1988 67’ CMY and would like true wind speed / direction in the pilothouse in a 4-5” N2K display. I’m considering Airmar ultrasonic and Garmin gWind (traditional propeller) and wondered if anyone had experience with these or had recommendations of other wind instruments. Thanks in advance!

I luv my Simrad IS20 wind vane.
I have the IS20 display that I can easily see any air pushing on me while docking.
Amazing, it talks N2K very well to my E120 (OLD) MFD and PC software.

Make sure your MFD recognizes the device and can display the info in a separate window, if going that route. My Maretron W200 and Furuno TZTXL displays dont seem able to do this, despite all on same nmea 2000 backbone and Maretron listed in connected devices.
