I just got a big promotion at work (BFD) and I wrote the job description as an 80% position.
Now I get a three day weekend every weekend.
More time to play with the boat........Yippeee!
Yes, I'm partially retiring....well, 20% of the time anyway.....at the ripe old age of 50.

Oh yeah? I've been working four days a week ever since I started going broke!

I'm negotiating the sale of my business next week, so I may just beat you to retirement at age 49 if I can figure out a way to live the rest of my life on $947.32!

Enjoy it man; I retired 2 years ago at 50, but find myself slightly bored. This turbine install job came up with ZERO responsibility, and then last night I got a call from Ferrarro - Pan candy company (lemonheads and atomic fireballs etc) and they want to interview me for the plant engineers' job. On call 24/7 usually 50-60 hours per week an hour drive in lousy traffic each way...When it rains it pours! I say enjoy the 4 day week for a while! ws
