  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
52' CONVERTIBLE (1983 - 1990)
what does P5 mean on the smx11 screen i was sent a pm message and ask but do not have my cruse air book

It is likely PS not P5 . High pressure from heat/lack of water flow/dirty strainer.

I "think" it's high pressure. Not getting enough cooling water (clogged strainer, bad pump). Brett

Could be the pump or a bad trigger not turning the pump on.

Seawater temp too cold for heating?

I should have remembered that i fought that code last year at Hatteras that D@m eel grass was murder for the ac and the Eskimo ice maker . It turned out being a by nightly chore. Thanks i will pass it on.

Thanks for getting to the bottom of that Tim, I did some research today, and you guys are right on, it's PS, not P5, where are my glasses?however, I hauled the boat in October, bottom job, had all striners cked and cleaned, Did a major physical on the seahorse.
I knew the V berth unit was the only unit that's working properly, however I had bigger fish to fry that week.
Now It's time to take a closer look at marine AC units and really make that leap. Go all the way, replace the three units that are not working correctly?or make repairs to existing units that will most likely not last anyway.
What brand units are getting the best service? I've cked out a few units on eBay that were around $1800 for a 16000 btu, not totally sure if that was a complete unit or not.
Thanks for all the help

If its high ps it is because of restricted water flow. If it is low ps it is usually do to low refrigerant.
