A Sad Day

This is sad day for me as we are putting our 36C up for sale. We have had the boat for 26 years, ordering it from the factory in the fall of 1986 and taking delivery late December. We even flew to North Carolina to see her under construction. She has been a great boat and we spent as much time as we could cruising and diving the Abacos. We will miss her greatly but age and health have caught up with us. We still travel, but in an RV now. It does have some advantages. As my husband says, you don't have to adjust 8 lines before you can have a cocktail when you arrive at your destination.

The guy who came up with the line about the "two happiest days in a boater's life" obviously never owned a Hatt. Good luck with the RV. Sounds like someone is going to get a heck of a boat.

Our 36 Hat is the same year as yours. We love the boat and hope we never need to sell it. I am 72, so I suppose we can't keep the boat forever. Never want an RV though. We have a cottage on Lake Huron that is 2 hours from our home. We like that as well as our Hatteras. We use the cottage a lot in summer and live on the boat in Miami in winter.
