A parts question on 52'C

Good morning , I own a 1988 52C that has 4 triangular plastic , for lack of a better term , vent covers on the outer hull just below the gunwale . They cover the dryer vent , bath exhaust fans , etc . They are all broken/cracked to one degree or another and I am having difficulty finding new because I do not know what to call them in my searches . Does anyone know the correct terminology for these parts ? They measure approximately 10" x 10" x 10" . Any help identifing these parts would be greatly appreciated .

X2. I've bought them from SAMs in the past. You need to paint to match the hull or you can leave then as they are a white that looks good with Hatteras off white or a bright white paint.

Thank you both . Yes they are called clamshells and Sam's had them in stock although at $32 a piece they were a bit pricey for cheap pieces of plastic that are easily broken by fenders and the travel lift . Oh well I've got them coming . Thank you .

Other than me, nothing is cheap anymore. We could go down a long political road on that subject.

It does seem like a lot, so I just did a quick search at Worst Marine and they're charging $20 for one that is about half the size that you were looking for. Granted, WM is far from being the discount leader in the marine world, but it would suggest that Sam's pricing is competitive. Plus, with SAM's you know you'll get the right part and it doesn't hurt to support the forum sponsor.
