  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
52' CONVERTIBLE (1983 - 1990)
I have a couple reports, the first is a Stuart flounder caught off the back of the boat at night. It was caught just beyond the Roosevelt Bridge where we are keeping our Hatt while it is for sale. It was caught on a shrimp attached to a Cajun Thunder. It is my personal best.

The second is a spear trip out of Hudson while skipping out of work . To start out the day we found a capsized boat that we called in to the Coast Guard. They said it had been reported 1 day prior but nothing had been done. I dropped in to 50' and found a couple hog snapper and a good size grouper. On the second dive I got a couple more hog snapper and another gag grouper. It was a great day on the water. I really pushed the limits of my gun and missed at least 10 fish . Spearing is a whole different ball game but fun to learn.

That's a nice sized flounder. Up here we call them Fluke. In NY this season the minimum size for Fluke is 19½". Of course the commercial boats can keep them at 14½" but that's another rant. How big was that one?

Since I don't dive I've never tried spearfishing. Looks interesting. Nice collection of protien ya got there.
