  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
Will any of the new chart plotters work with the original transducers (depth only) until I get the boat out of the water to install new chirp transducers? The boat has a flasher on it, 200 kHz I believe, and I will be adding a chart plotter for the trip here, and if possible, I would like to display the depth on the chart plotter. Otherwise, we will just use the flasher and chart plotter separately.

What are the connectors for a 50 amp shore power cord on a 53 ft Hatteras (1978)? The existing cord is not thick enough, even though it has the right connectors.

Sometimes someone puts the wrong ends on a cord. If its 8 ga its probably ok.

PM or call about the electronics. There's a large range of transducers. There's also a lot of compatibility with the newer units.

I sell a lot of interface boxes for using transducers with new gear.

X2 on this. I had trouble interfacing my old stuff with Garmin and Scott sold me a little box for under $100 that got me going with no problems. I now have depth on my N2K network.

Scott fixed me up with a Garmin 7610 and adapter box to use the original transducers, till I later add newer chirp transducers. The adapter was very inexpensive.

Your 50 amp shore power cable should have 6ga wire. 6/4 or 6/3 for boats with polarization transformers.
