A/C filter behind salon couch 55Convertable

I did a search with no results but found a return air a/c grille behind the salon couch that has a pullout bed on my 55 Convertible. The couch appears original and is bolted down. I pulled the bed out and still couldn't access the grille to check the filter or install one if missing. Visually looking from behind I could see large amounts of dust on the grille. I really need to access this to clean and inspect. Anyone aware of the proper way to service this return air plenum short of removing the salon couch? It is L shaped which complicates that also

And I thought mine where challenging. Guess you’re gonna have to unbolt it. After you vacuum spray the evaporator with coil cleaner.

Thats what I was afraid of. One of my future projects is to replace this nasty couch with a new one. I will probably custom build one with storage under it. The plenum will be extended to the front of the couch or Im not doing it lol

Galley up? Could be possible to get into void outside the galley and under the side deck. That sounds like where your evaporator is located from your description. Good bit of space in there if you’re not planning on any u-turns.
