Just so we dont forget. Very hard to watch....rather graphic at times.

I get sooooooooo mad when I watch this....America should have to watch it every day.

One of the days in my life that seriously taught me how to cry. This video is rivetting.

I fear that the young kids today see 9/11 as just something that happened on TV, desensitized by playing too many video games.

We've got to teach to them the impact that 9/11 had on us before it fades.

Can ya' believe this 'National Day of Service' crap? Is this just a way for them to help 9/11 fade from the kids minds? It should be a Day of Remembrance.

Not to discount the tragedy, but where my son is concerned, I hope this does fade as it happened before he was born. I say that because it would mean there won't be anything else of this nature that does happen in his lifetime which would make this attack seem less significant.

Randy - For you sons sake, I hope it does NOT fade.

That day was a painful wakeup call that there are those in this world who hate us. They hate our influence in the world, form of government, religious tolerance, our wealth, lifestyle, and independent thinking.

Your son, and those of his generation, can not afford to become complacent,

You totally missed my point Jim.

Perhaps.

Our prior 'event' was 12/7/41 and I can't help but think as time passed and memories fade, we let our guard down.

Maybe I'm just stuck on the need to maintain a strong national defense.

Other than comparable loss of life, there is no comparing 9/11 with Pearl Harbor. That was a military attack on a military installation.

My concern is the next terrorist attack on our country will be much worse than 9/11. That's the point I was trying to make in my earlier comment.

See EMP attack by hostiles (e.g., some on record from Middle East or North Asia) enemy with missiles and nukes (this capability already exists). This is a very serious threat and issue- See their dead serious web site by prominent officials. Commision est. around 2000, prior to 9/11. See excellent web site:
http://www.empcommission.org/

There are over 2,000,000 hits for this issue on the web, but in the top ten here is another sober article:
http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=32480

What is left unstated is that although we would be left with an 1800's economy, 80-90% of all humans in the US attacked area would die in 4-6 weeks. Water systems would stop, plus the foodstuffs supply chain would stop. Neither could be restarted for months.

End of remarks...

I'm not really sure I want to read about that. I don't live my life in fear of such things, but let's just say it's very comforting to live in a part of the country where a country boy can survive.
