8v92ta heat exchanger end cap

Hi,I just bought a 54MY 1988 with 8v92TA's. Noticed a leak in end cap of the heat exchanger and i did the big mistake in tightening it too hard breaking the bronze threads. Amateur hour, I know... Although it was not hard at all though. So i need to tap some new threads, and should rinse it at the same time.Any advice for tapping a new thread? And how best to rinse the heat exchanger? Thanks!
