8v53 zincs

Just wondering if anyone has ordered any 8v53 engine & jabsco raw water pump zincs. I need the correct sizes and quantity. Boat is 3 hours away and would like to get them a little cheaper online instead of the boatyard. Thanks

Something to consider...Many of us do not run water pump zincs because they just erode extremely rapidly due to friction and deposit zinc junk in the heat exchanger and intercoolers (if you have them). A few people also do not use heat exchanger zincs because there does not appear to be a need and they also erode fairly rapidly due to friction. I have become one of the no-zincers in the HEs; I always was one of the no zincers in the water pumps. Our 53 MY never had a zinc in the water pump at least since the PO bought the boat in 1992 (possibly before that) and there is no sign of any problem at all.

Obviously these decisions are a personal one...

I use as many zincs as possible since the marinas are always suspect. The water pump has 2 places but I only use the one on the outlet to keep it out of the pump. I use the Camp E3 as its a bit shorter and less friction or disturbance of the water.
