Hatteras Model
41' CONVERTBLE-Series I (1964 - 1971)
Does anyone know what the fuel burn is on a series 1 41'c w/ twin 8v53's at 16kts, 20kts, and 10kts. Just would like to get an idea of range for a boat like this with 300 gal of fuel.

Thanks

2200 RPM (15-16 knots) 24 gallons/hour
1200 RPM (7-8 knots) 6-7 gallons/hour
Mine won't do 20 knots. 18-19 is about it and I've never run there long enough to measure fuel burn (don't have flo-scans).

That seem right ion line with my 1966 41C with 8V53's

22-2300 RPM= 20-24 GPH at 15-16KTS. I know its a range but I am never right on the number. I get the boat feeling right and cruise. Averages also take into account the currents and winds.

I have not done lots of 1200-1500 RPM cruising but I am planning that the next time out as it should be about 1 NM/Gallon.
