60 MY from 1989 Advise please

Am told only 14 of these ever built, does not seem like a very popular model.
One for sale and I'm considering same. Any advice, pro or con?

There is one in our marina. This particular boat has the galley up and I was told that it was special ordered that way. It is a very nice boat and the owners really enjoy it. I was impressed by the interior room and the engine room access. I think it was a little underpowered with the 8v92's but if you don't mind hull speed cruising, then that is no big deal.

It is a Hatteras, so beware the usual things like window leaks, decks that may have wet core, blisters on the hull, etc. Although they all can be repaired, they can be costly if someone has let them go for too long.

Ron, I have been aboard a few of these - absolutely great looking boats. The 8v92s have lots of HP (720 I think), not sure about torque numbers, I hear the 92-series motors can be thirsty? Great lines and looks. I think the same hull extended was the 67CPMY, seemingly a rather popular boat.
They have a nice beam, large aft deck. Large helm area, good visibility but not separate from salon/galley - maybe not a concern. The 'galley-up' version I inspected seemed very open/spacious. Nice big-boat feel.
The arches on these boats are large, if overhead height is a concern make certain it is hydraulic or at least hinged.
