  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
45' CONVERTIBLE-Series II (1984 - 1992)
Not sure if anyone on here is in the market for an older 60 but if so this one is super nice looking in the pictures. If not at least I know some of you will enjoy seeing an original well kept Hatteras.

She's a beauty, but that's a bunch of money.

It really is. And how much they have spent on it has nothing to do with what it will bring. It's a lovely boat, though, with the right engines. If they get close to that amount, they will have hit it out of the park, IMHO.

He just bought the 60 last spring. I took his old 52 up to Maryland last April

So I guess the "one owner" part is not really truthful. I wonder what other parts of the listing are less than accurate?

Still a great looking 60C. I can't imagine trying to relocate the electrical panels that used to be in the back of the old dinette. What a job.

Randy i been thinking about a 60 you have seen mine what do think. It would be trading down in years
I do not like the teak cockpit that is a heck of a lot of work.

So it's a 2015 model. Not bad price for such a new boat.

The one owner thing makes me wonder what else is inaccurate.

The owner is a good guy and was very help full .

No doubt that teak would be a pain to keep up, but I don't think it holds a candle to the Hatt we looked at in Miami last year. That plus you're looking at 1271TI's that will drink fuel like there is no tomorrow. There are certainly more qualified people to ask about that, but I thought you were a CAT guy.

Can't remember what they were asking for that one we saw or even which model it was, but I did love that full beam master aft.

16 KTS @60gph going to do it for you? Although I think an 85 would have been a HP model

" Will consider trade for, Motor Yacht, Bertram, Viking, Boat, Diesel Pusher, Diesel Motor Home, Condo, Car, Truck, House, Condo. Let me know what you have, Lets make a deal."

Monte Hall's boat?

Beat me to it! Tim that's a real big boat and I know you don't want to deal with that tower. You're not going to sneak under the bridge when Oregan is shoaled up. Better off sticking with what you've got or going for a newer Cat boat. Maybe the Wancheese 50 is ready to deal?

I love the look of the old 60 but when you could get the 65 with the MTU's for well under 200 how much is an old 60 worth no mater how nice it is? And the 65 will blow it's doors off speed wise.

I'm thinking it's a broker's/dealer's boat. Either that or the current owner bought it to flip it. With that, they'll basically trade for anything they can liquidate. That's how they can advertise it as a one owner and keep a straight face. Maybe Dave can shed some light on that.

Hey Tim, does that sound like somebody we know? :D

60, 65 or even bigger just have to have the enclosed bridge (man cave option) to get away from the rest of those aboard. I would take either as a live aboard because at 60 gph I'm not thinking of running alot.

Plus someone needs to dredge Cocoa Beach or I can't get it here.

$259k is less than the really nice ones are going for these days.
You don't buy one of these to save fuel (or money LOL), you buy it for the size and range, and comfort in rough water.
I can go "fast cruise" speeds (20kts) in truly heinous conditions without beating up us or the boat, when all the lightweight go fast Vikings are slogging at 9 knots getting their asses kicked.
1271's may be old fashioned and drink fuel, but the computer controls never crap out.
60Cs aren't for everyone but they are very popular on the west coast where range is a big issue.

That's why I never seriously looked at the older 60C. I prefer the 55C or the 65C. Lucky Dave's 60C would be the exception as he has the bigger engines and the boat looks fantastic.

60 gph is about what my slow cruise is at 1700 or 17kts. I like to run at 1900 which usually gives me around 21kts.

So pretty much the same fuel burn and the 65 is a lot more boat. The 92 series was billed in trucks as the "fuel pincher" supposed to be more efficient than 71's

My fuel burn is almost identical to what Larry Kaplan's was on his 60C with 650HP 12V71. I actually do closer to 55 gph at 1700. Dave and I were both impressed with the economy running her slower. Even at 1900 she's not too bad and nets about the same NMPG. If I push her up to 2000, she'll run around 23 kts but the fuel burn goes up and the NPG go from .33NMPG to .25NMPG
