6-71ti turbo part#

Does anyone know if a part number can/should be found on a turbo from a Covington marinized 6-71ti? All I've found thus far is an AIRESEARCH stamp and nothing else. Have contacted Covington but have had no reply in 2 days.

Any help is appreciated!

Most likely a 5103838, unless it is a 485HP.

Cap - you are spot on (I finally found the plate!) Any suggestions for a place to get it rebuilt (or buy one)?

Don't know where you are, however any DD dealer can get a Reliabuilt or a Garrett dealer can get a reman. Look for fuel injection shops, they usually handle turbo's.

Hey cap,

On an older thread, you suggest using a cat base gasket. Tried calling the local cat dealer and they were clueless without a part number or specific cat application. Any chance you know a part number for this turbo (sorry to keep picking your brain but you were dead on in knowing the turbo!)
