I'm going to change out the orginal fuel filter housings on my naturals (6-71) i'm running racor 900's ahead of them. My engines run an orginal primary and secondary filters. Like to go to spin on's. First do I need to use two filters per engine with the racors and second any sugestions as to the filter housings I should use. Thanks Bill

If the racors are running 30 micron filters you still need a 10 micron at the engine.

I'm told there is no reason to go below 10 on detroits except for polishing the fuel. I have not seen anything that makes me think that is wrong.

If I had to do it all again I would probably put 2 racors in the lazarette hatch and have easy access. Oh thats right I did and it worked out great.

Sadly on the old 43's there's not a lot of room to put extra stuff. I know I need another filter on the engine but do I need two and if not which one do I get rid of?Bill

You should have a 30 and a 10 on the engine. the racor can replace the 30 and then you just need a 10.
