Newbie to most things Hatteras but half way through all of the threads on this forum. My concerns are about the currently operation stabilizer system. Mainly getting someone to work on an obsolete system in Racine Wisconsin. If the unit fails is going without until a replacement system is installed an option? Or does this render the boat inop?

Don't know what system you have, but Niad is still around and very helpful. I've got Niad 252's, and if they become inop, it's a minor squawk. Just pin them in the lock position. It will not deadline the vessel.
