58 yachtfish in Northport Fri night

Was in Northport NY Fri. night and saw a 58 yachtfish on a mooring. Was going to go over and see who it was Sat. morning however it was so comfortable I didn't get up until 8:30. When I did get up it was gone. Just wondering if it was someone on the forum.

I know that boat - "Glory," but I don't know the owner other than to briefly talk to him once. The boat was at Brittania marina as "Intrepid" 2 years ago under another owner and was in (I'm being polite) mediocre condition. It had sheets of plywood for side doors and BADLY needed paint. I don't know anything about the interior. The current owner bought it either early last year or late in the season of '03 and is restoring it. Late last season he installed new side doors to replace the sheets of plywood. I don't know anything else about it except that its "home port" is on the mooring in Northport. We wave a lot!

I met him when we were both anchored at Block a couple weeks ago. He is a marine mechanic and is in the process of bringing the boat back. Nice guy. It is a big project but it seems to be in capable hands.
