  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
58' YACHT FISHERMAN (1970 - 1981)
With the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show beginning next Thursday, I've authorized my broker, Frank Gordon, to reduce the asking price on my 58 Hatteras Yacht Fish PIZZAZ to a lower asking price of $499,000. It's still a $100,000 reduction from her initial ask. Slightly more realistic. Full listing is on Yachtworld.

If there is anyone even "curious" about PIZZAZ, she will be hauled for her annual hull wax and bottom paint this Monday (Oct 22nd). She's expected to be back in the water in time for the opening day of the show Thursday (Oct 25th). PIZZAZ is located at Murelle Marina in Lantana, FL, only 35 minutes north of Ft. Lauderdale.

Motor Yacht owners and buyers, even if you aren't interrested in a classic 58 yacht fish, should at least see PIZZAZ while making other boat comparisons. While she's hauled out next week, will be an excellent opportunity to do just that, for anyone in the South Florida area boat show week.

Thanks
Paul

Slightly more realistic is a key phrase in your post. Why are you pricing it where you now think its slightly more realistic.

I feel for your broker until I remember that it is his job to inform you of the reality of the market. I would not take a listing that I felt was overpriced by such a large amount but then again I rarely have a listing that does nit sell close to the ask.

Hi Boatsb

I totally understand your position on unrealistic listings. I've known my broker for almost 45 years. Heck, I WAS a broker for about 25 of those years. PIZZAZ is my 22nd personal boat so far. (Most have been in the 28-45ft range). I've just been lucky over the years in sniffing out the nicest boats to start with, make them turn key from the inside, totally enjoy them for a couple of years, and eventually find the right buyer for the best possible market price.

I don't know what the price will eventually be. What the trade-in will be, or when. I just enjoy having the nicest boat in the marina, and love maintaining it. Sooner or later, a knowlegable buyer always walks by, falls in love, and I'm out shopping for my next boat.

Yes, those buyers are few and far between. Especially in this economy. I just try to offer up the nicest boat available. Regardless of her "asking" price, a 53 or 58 Hatteras buyer should at least see this one as a frame of reference while out shopping.

Thanks

She's a Beauty! Good luck with the sale. You might just find the right person for it.

good luck with all that Pizzasdaddy, i agree it's a nice boat to look at but honestly, even the nice ones are not passing the 200g barrier anyore and if then not by far....

it's a buyers market, but hey, if you're enjoying her that's all that matters than, isn't it ? ;-)

Thank You Luckyguy.

Boats have been my passion since childhood. I live aboard, and I'm forever having a blast! I guess since I was a broker in the past, I'm always snooping around for the next adventure. The next project.

If there is one buyer out there, who really wants a 58 yachtfish model, they must see this one while out shopping, regardless of the crazy asking price, just because it's the nicest one with the lowest mileage out there. Should I be asking $399,000 to get my brokers phone to ring?

$299k might get his phone ringing.

Too much to get it to Egypt, plus they're all shooting each other over there. :)
