  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
The boat has a Glendinning synchronizer. Neither of the throttles "stay put" and drift to lower RPM. Detroit Diesel mechanic I had on the boat said there is not more "adjustment".

What do I need to replace?

Been a while since we had Detroits and a Glendinning. Isn't there a tension spring attached to the lever where the throttle cable attaches that's adjustable for this exact reason?? If there's no more adjustment maybe the spring needs to be replaced??

I have a couple of Glendenning syncro documents as PDF's including one labeled troubleshooting. Email me at rwaldrop13@gmail.com, I'm more than glad to share.

When you do not have the Glendenning syncro system on, does your master engine stay at the throttle position you gruise at or does it drift down.
