Plans have changed I am going to list my 53 motor yacht starfire for sale. I just bought her this past February . I have done all up dates to engines and stabilizers . You can see her on you tube under 53 hatteras va yacht sales from when I purchased her . I have spent 30,000 since I bought her . She is truly perfect In every way. 289,900.00 pm if your interested . She has been in fresh water most of her life still under cover .

I looked at this boat before Red Hatt bought it, if you're in the market for a 53, it's not to be missed. It will sell quickly.

"Starfire" is likely one of the nicest 53 Classics on the planet. She has sold 3 times in the past 7 or 8 years. Always quickly and for good $$. Looking Glass - you may want to jump on this one.

In my experience as a Surveyor you should not assume a boat is out of your price range, at least here on the west coast boats are still selling way below ask price and you never know what sellers situations might be. John

I concur with John, the boat I bought was originally listed for $1.1 million, I negotiated down to $300k, it never hurts to make an offer.

Everyone wants a deal. Me, I want a fair price from an honest owner. I can't tell you how many (non Hatteras but one) boats I have tried to buy since July that have had serious hidden defects that I only found after spending over two grand on surveys and haul outs (3 boats). These issues would have been apparent to a maintenance conscience seller.

It is almost enough to make me go back to Blue Bird motorhome...but I digress.

I have actually spoken with the seller a couple weeks ago. The boat is fantastic but I cannot meet his minimum price. The Admiral has me on a strict budget.
