52C spare prop storage

Hatteras was generous with outfitting our vessels with spare props and shafts.

My 52C still has the backup shaft, but the spare propellers were not with the boat when I bought it. Recently I scored a new set (a story which I will share later).

Could someone kindly tell me where to stash them?

I do recall a recent thread where alternate locations like under the master bunk were discussed, but I an wondering if there was a preferred factory location.

My 52CMY has the spare props under the master bed, but I haven't found spare shafts? I wonder if they are onboard and I haven't found them!

I've been thinking about this as well. I've gotta get the spare set back on the boat because my wife is ticked they're still in the garage.

It would be so easy to make a secured situation under the cockpit, but I don't want any more weight back there. One could squeeze under the master berth and the other maybe under the guest stateroom bunK...after sacrificing a couple drawers?

It seems the most obvious place would be on the outside of the engines in the ER. There's enough room, but getting them back there wouldn't be fun.

Depending on the size of the bunks, there might be some additional room beyond the drawers, if you made a hatch in the area where the mattress sits.

I have studs and keep one on each side of the cockpit under the hatches slightly outboard. There is no way I would attempt to keep them anywhere else.
