504 RPMs

I think I may have found a new home for the 504N Cummins I've been trying to sell. Prospective buyer wants to know how many RPM they'll turn at cruise and at wot. I have no idea since I've never run them. Anyone out there know? Also, I'm curious what the scrap price would be for those heavy honkers. I'm thinking that the price I'm asking is not that far off from scrap. Any ideas? Thanks. Howard in west Michigan

Most 504's turned 2800 under load. However, there are specs from 2400 to 3000 so I'd need a CPL (control or critical parts list) number off your engine data plate or fuel pump tag to look up exactly what you've got.

No they go up to 3300 I had a pair and double checked this with cummins since most stuff I found showed 3000. What year were they mine where 1979 202hp 504N. I actually got a copy of dyno test from cummins in 2001 took a few phone calls and a lot of luck finding the right person to talk too. Let me know if you need more I can look and see if I have the name or #?

I'm pretty sure mine are1981's. I had them posted on this site, boatdiesel.com and Boats & Harbors (thank you, tugboat Willie).
A good ole' boy from Mississippi called on them, don't know where he got the lead. For the money, (2K for both) he's getting a deal, and I'm getting rid of them. Thanks for the replies. Howard
