Question for the electrical experts. My 36c currently has two 30 amp inputs that connect to a 50 amp/two 30 amp splitter at the dockside power pedestal. Is there a way to change over to have a 50 amp power cord and then split to two 30 amp circuits on the boat? Trying to eliminate the splitter at the pedestal and having two 50 foot 30 amp power cords. Thanks Bob

Easy and expensive to do.

The 2 legs can be put on one 50A 110/220 connector and support the boat with just a few modifications to the electrical system. Just remember the cost of the 50A cables and connectors will surprise you.

I fitted mine with a 50a 220v last year, what a big improvement and not too difficult. The high dollar item is the cord itself which I bought new off e-bay for around $380 if I remember correctly. I now have 50amps available to each panel and the cord never even gets warm. Just before the change I had a plug melt and nearly catch fire on the old ship's receptacles, I sleep much better now.
