46 hatteras

I'm thinking of selling my 46 hatteras 1975. the boats been repowered with John Deere engines 526 Hp with 376 hours . Custom engine room excess through the cockpit witch i think is a plus. Custom hardtop e z to see enclosure . The interior has been customized also {all teak no paint}great exterior paint. The only reason for thinking about selling is my wife has bad skin cancer and can't go in the sun. I don't know what a boat in this condition would bring price wise?? It has all new interior soft goods custom leather sofa, new headliner with led lighting. all you have to do is turn the key and go. Truly a nice boat. I hate the thought of parting with her but if i can't enjoy using it why keep it. Shed kept. Any ideas on whats she should sell for???

Hard to say but I would post more details and pics. There are a few here looking for something like that. Someone posted today that they were looking for a repowered 45CII. The 46C is a far better boat. Might interest him if he knew more details. Good luck. The market is tough but it is getting better.

Find a broker who will give you some information from the sold boats files on Yachttrader or whatever it is they use; they pay for this data so they may charge you, which is fair enough. You should be able to get an idea of what the boat will sell for. Then post it here with a lot of photos an information about it including performance data and receipts for the work you've had done.

OR (and this is a better idea by far) list it with a good broker in your area. He or she will know what similar boats have sold for and will be able to give you an idea where to start and where to settle. And also how best to present your boat for sale.

Sounds like a nice choice of engines. How fast will she cruise?
