Planning our first fuel filter change. Would like to know if the cartridge type filters (primary & secondary) can be serviced from the center hatch, or do all three hatches come out? If it's a matter of purchasing spin-on adapters and filters to get around having to open all three hatches, (in the future) I'd be interested in that. Thanks, Craig

On my 1979 43DC with J&T 671N's all filters are accessible from the center hatch. Oil filters on mine are spin-on, Racor's are independent (mounted away from engines) with removal of cannister top and engine fuel filters are spin-ons.

On our 1981 43' DC with J&T 6-71 N's, everything is accessed via the center hatch. The primary fuel filters are separated from both engines and are centrally located behind the engines.

The spin on oil filters are also inboard on each engine and easily accessed from the central hatch.

The stuffing boxes...well that is another story. Our lift raft will be located on the deck!!!
