43 DC FB vs Hardtop - FB preferred

One of our nephews and two of his friends came over to the boat yesterday at Sand Island and conducted extensive test, concluding that the FB is more useful for important functions as documented below.

We had a gread day on the water and did not head home until after dark. The view from the FB works better for me running in the dark.

Yep, My 6 kids did the same from our 43DC. I did it to a few times just because they daired me. It was fun.

We do it every summer. Hardtop is a lot easier for that than a FB. But I agree about the night driving....

Mine came with a ladder mounted to the hardtop in front of the port front window (4 step)...
That's how we get to the 13' Whaler that is stored up there. A davit and electric wrench gets it up and down...

Thanks for the insight. Obviously you have to have a way to get to the top of the hardtop if you have a dingy up there, and many do. For some reason, I've never noticed the ladder for that purpose on non FB models.
