I think you will have too much to do to make it right. There are better ones there for more money that need tons less. In the end you will be better off getting one in habitable shape.

The only value in this boat is the hull for a full refit. A few more bucks will buy my 45 and it is in better shape. Difference is I will admit the gear is not servicable as is. Look for 50K boats that were actually cared for and you will save a gazillion $.

i don't usually disagree with people, but the hull is the worst part of this boat. best part is the motors and gears. they are worth 8 cents a pound.

Unless there is structural damage or large scale deck coring damage the hull is where the value is. Does not matter if the boat looks "OK" or has nasty looking paint the refit is the same size project.

look oat same boat on boats.com. he has 56 pictures. i will give him credit for honesty. some of these, i think show the coring damage you list. some show a bunch of sawzall work i don't understand, although it looks like he glassed back in the transom sole. i am sure you know more about these boats than me. i have only had one, so far (not counting toys like wellcrafts-and searays-etc) and mine is structually sound. unfortunately it is a 34 and not very sought after. i am looking to go bigger on a very limited budget, so i look at all of these "projects".

After looking at all the pix I see your point on this one. The seller should pin a $100 bill on it and give it away. My 45 is rough but hull and structure very sound so at least it has a future.
