  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
65' MOTOR YACHT (1988 - 1996)
I am posting these for a friend that has just bought an old boat yard and he is cleaning house. All boats look like they well float and can be towed. These are all pre 1971 I think for none of them have the hull numbers on the stern. If anyone is interested or wants more pic's or info PM me.IMG_1935.webpIMG_1937.webpIMG_1942.webp

Wasn't there a thread where someone was looking for a 36 Series I?

Thanks for posting these. Maybe they will find a home from this, I hope so.

The pics really show how these old girls look good, even when abandoned and left to rot. Great lines from the beginning.

Engines in boats:
The 41 ft. engines have been sold.

The 36 ft. with black hull engines have been sold but he is willing to leave them in the boat for $1000.00 ea. The only reason the guy hasn't come up with the money for them. would need to know pretty quick on this one. They look like Cats. DSCF3265.webp

The 36 ft. with gray hull goes as is engines and generator.DSCF3273.webpDSCF3283.webp

Good gawd amighty... TORO-FLOWS! That poor thing. I hope somebody with more money than sense comes to the rescue. What a shame to let those great things go that way.

The boats, that is... not the Toro-Flows. :p

Turbo toro flows no less

Davis put these in their boats back in the early 70's and a lot of repowers had them. Seemed the problems were mostly the Barr marine marineisation.

That's interesting, because the only place Terrible-Flows seemed to survive was in a marine application.

They were sortof like light bulbs. Doing fine one minute then bang. Gone.

But without that moment of brightness.

At least with Detroits you get that moment of brightness. Seriously, my drivers always used to say how great the truck ran the day before the engine blew.

So, two 36Cs and one 41C. I think.

Yes that's right if someone doesn't take them they are going to the chipper. I would take one but with redoing Fair Well this summer there is no way. Should have seen the first mates face when I said I wanted one.

I never thought I'd see the day that you couldn't give a 36' Hatteras away. The yard owner should keep the one with the Cats for a winter project. Business gets pretty slow after October. I keep looking at them but, I still have a 41' hull in my Dad's front yard that I have to put together. At least he gutted it.

If this does end up as a tragedy and they don't find a home I could use some of those parts. Quite a few actually.

If it were closer to me I'd tow one home and park it! Texas is a bit far though
