32' FLYBRIDGE FISHERMAN (1983 - 1987)
Putem to sleep for about 5 months even though I really did not want to. The temps in Lewes, De dipped down below freezing at 26 last night, which prompted me to head down yesterday and get everything done.

Changed the oil..flushed with freshwater using the Grocco crash valves I installed during repower and then filled with the pink stuff. Is there anything else to worry about? I thought I hit everything engine related. Its much easier with the crash valves. One thing though, The impeller pump I used for changing the oil is history. I'm upgrading to a gear pump next year. Too much oil for the old pump and too heavy. Took way too long to pump the engines dry of oil.

Wish I lived in Fla or NC and didn't have to quit for the winter!

Come on down. The fishing is better too, and our slip in Port St. Lucie is only $50/mo.

Gee...you make it sound so inviting! So at 50/mo and fishing year round could I quit my day job and still have money to eat?! I'm jealous.

Jack,
Not to rub it in, we cruised all weekend in our shorts
and even got a liitle sunburn. Bring that rocket to west
Florida and do like all the other snow birds.

Well the 50$ is cheap but the fuel there and back is the KILLER!!!

Jackman I know how you feel mine are put away also. Not much more for you to do until they get a few more hrs, then you want to make sure salt water side is clean and aftercooler cleaning. You may want to pull the aftercooler to grease it up like Athens says to do. Also just spray them down good with wd or something of the same. Then just change zincs and hope for early spring did you get to go offshore much?

Jack, we run all year here on the lower Potomac, and have a 500W Wolverine pad heater (plugged into a thermostactically controlled outlet) on the oil pan of each 330B. Also made covers for the vents. One side benefit is that we no longer get all the condensation we previously did on the cold engines. They used to get so wet in the morning that they would drip water. Even if we were to winterize, I would find a way to keep the engines warm - it will save lots of corrosion issues. M2CW. Best Regards, Bob K
