  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
I’ve got a legacy 32v water pump that keeps up pressure in our fresh water system onboard. We use it when underway only, because it can be run by the inverter and we can flush heads and wash hands while off the dock. I need to replace it and I was wondering if the Sams part number 30045/PWPO1 would be a replacement? Any other pump suggestions for this application? Thanks!

Not sure I understand your question... you don’t need an inverter to run a 32v pump...with an inverter or generator the best bang for the buck is a 120v shallow well pump.

I have a Flotec which gives a ton or pressure and flow

Also, the heads each have their own (similar) 32v pump, unless your boat has been modified. Not sure if Sams has the pumps, but the main source for remanufactured pumps and parts seems to be Raz Marine.

I recently bought a stator and rotor from them for my fresh water pump.

The pumps seem to be very durable, and the stators and rotors are fairly inexpensive, considering how long they last.

The pump runs off your battery power not the inverter. Raz Marine or Gallery Maid for rebuilds or replacements.

Galley maid direct is my vote. More on top of it.

I have used that second Flo Jet pump but found the flow rate a little to low for both my ice maker and the filtered water output from my fridge so now I keep it as a backup pump. John

Yes gents I mistyped when referring to the inverter running this pump. I should have said I use it when the boat is running on the inverter and not on Genset. This pump clearly draws from the 32v house system. I also have a 120v pump sitting next to it for when on Genset or house power. Thanks much for the guidance on replacement

I just purchased a 32 volt galley maid pump MR 32-10 from depco pump company. I found their customer service to be very friendly and helpful and their price was slightly better than Raz marine. Rules won't allow me to post links yet, so the URL is www dot depcopump dot com.
