  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
45' CONVERTIBLE-Series II (1984 - 1992)
1999 Hatteras 70C $699 Ask. http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/199...e-2690795/Palm-Beach-Gardens/FL/United-States

1990 Hatteras 80' CPMY $639 http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/1990/Hatteras-CPMY-2604767/Pompano-Beach/FL/United-States

1977 Hatteras 46C but they're calling it a 48, Cockpit dosen't look stretched butnot sure. http://www.yachtworld.com/core/list...09&url=&hosturl=breweryacht&&ywo=breweryacht&

I personally do not know any of these boats but they all look interesting. The 70C seems like an awsome deal.

That 70 sure does seem like a hell of a deal.

It sure does,,, I wish I had an extra $650,000 lying around because if I were a betting man, the owner told the broker get me $600K net. Purely speculation but if it were me I would shoot to try to get it for for $600 Gross and assume it might take as much as $660. I wonder who the owner is and if he has ever been on this sight. If so, he needs to know from the pictures I think the boat looks in great shape and I think he is being very generous in giving the potential new owner a Great Deal.

A couple of years ago there was a real nice 2001 that was listed for 1.25mil. Owner found a new boat and dropped the price to 750K. Multiple offer instantly and sold right away.

Not so sure about a '77 for $199k with Manns.

I agree, it's asking price is high but I posted it because it looked clean, had been updated and has new power. For someone looking for a Hatteras in the mid 40ft range it is worth a look and if it's nice, making an offer. These boats are only worth what the offers say they're worth. If the owner really wants to sell it and gets multiple offers in the 100K range eventually they will have to say yes or own it forever. The thing is you never know if you don't ask. If the potential buyer and current owner are both realistic in they're offerings, a Good Broker will work through the details and get the deal put together. They're are certain situations that are hard to overcome, such as to much money owed to the bank on the boat, an unrealistic spouse in a divorce or just a clueless owner without good representation that can make a deal hard to put together, but like I said a Good, Strong Broker should be able to explain to the owner if and whyan offer is good or bad, it's his jib and why he's paid. Hell he has more than the boat is worth just in the re power.

School's In

MTU owns Detroit Diesel.

I know, but didn't realize they were together in 1999.

I didn't look at the year. No, they weren't then, although they were in 2000 so there may have been some cross-pollination going on. Or it's just an assumption or lack of knowledge on the listing broker's part.

We all know that never happens :rolleyes:

Jack, maybe i need an education. The specs list the engines as MTU and DDEC controls?
The 2000 series engines were the first of the Detroit/MTU partnership. MTU needed electronic controls for their engines and Detroit had already developed the DDEC system. They partnered and the first engines were badged as Detroits. MTU still makes those engines. Those 16V2000 are now the hot ticket for big SF and crank out over 2400HP each.

They actually have them at 2600HP now. I wonder how long they will last at that HP Rating? Tick, Tick, Boom! I've run numerous boats with these motors and I like them alot, they're smooth, quiet, and I never had any problems but they were rated from1800HP to like Jack said 2400HP I just wonder when they will hit their limit of potential. Gotta be close.
