Interesting. Looks like the southeast does better than mid Atlantic or northeast, but there are probably many variables not mentioned. I do like this statement....

"There are many very large yachts in this class, but of the top six brands, Hatteras models were largest, oldest, and highest value. Meridian, were the newest and sold most quickly"

I agree.....nice to have a brand that once again is still thought of as sustainable.....reaffirms one of the criteria when buying or selling.

Interesting that only 119 Hatteras yachts were sold in 2015. I would have thought that number would have been higher. We sold 8 of them.

Wonder why there wasn't a category for "Convertible Sport Fish"?

Interesting study. I wish there were better data. For example, many express cruisers mistakenly get listed in the motor yacht category. If 119 Hatteras "Motor Yachts" were sold. How many pre owned Hatteras Sport Fish? We need more info.

I have another question. The Bayliner/Meridian numbers may have been skewed by the discontinuation of production last year. The number could reflect leftover inventories that may have been liquidated from dealer inventories. I would be curious to see the raw numbers for brands such as Viking, Bertram and Chris Craft too. Was there a top 10 list published anywhere? I find it difficult to grasp that Bayliner's Meridian, (in my opinion) one of the ugliest boats ever designed, and no longer in production was a top 5 "seller" last year.
