Hey GOOZMAN-- I may be able to help you out-- Ill take your boat and 100K for the HATT TRICK. Ill even throw in the full tanks!! ws

Bill,
What decorating theme is that in the dinette area? It that the new post-modern oiled look we hear so much about these days?

That my friend is post modern "DD 40 ROTELLA CHOCOLATE' " It was a custom finish ordered by the previous owner. It really is a good match throughout the whole boat. I just cant figure out why they did it at a 45 degree angle; self expression perhaps?? ws

Looks good from the outside but inside it looks like you took on that one guys advise ,way back in an old thred that said he used diesel to clean his walls in engine room

I remember reading your threds about the submarine with the BIRD but how is your gal really coming along?

I noticed your windows where dark but I thought it was tint :p

¡usted tiene un buen bubbamigo del ojo, Bubbamigo!! That window tint is the pits to get off. 5 days of cruising and I got 3 windows in the pilothose cleared. That tint is the "ultimate in Puerto Ricanism" as we say in Chicago :D I'm glad that the outside aint full of "birdshit"
Im glad that the previous owners' drunk stain job will be replaced with mostly new stuff. Youll never know she saw "sub service". ws

Bill, I know you have her named "Hatt Trick", but really-You need her to STOP doing tricks. Especially that "ROLL OVER!" or "PLAY DEAD!" trick. Those aren't good tricks for a Hatt. :)

She just lays on her side like her big sisters! ws

Hey Bill ever since you figured out that resizing you sure are keeping us entertained. Good thing because it been slow at the bar ;)

It seems like we are really hi-jacking Carl's for sale thread. Sorry Carl. I may be partly to blame here. But since others are playing along, I've got some suggestions for Bill.

Hey Bill,
I bought the Admiral a Lincoln LS a couple of years ago. It was a repo and had that same tint on ALL of the windows. Great car, only 9 months old, but getting that stuff off took me two days. I tried everything, but the best was a heat gun. Heat it as you pull. It still leaves some glue, but acetone will take care of that. Just don't use the heat and the acetone at the same time

removing window tint

Hey Sky-- I wondered about the heat gun. One window is already cracked to the point of replacing so theres nothing to lose. The glue must be some kind of gum based stuff-- goes on with soap water and squeegee, but once its dry, MARONE!! I also need to get a windshield scraper-- the razor blades are HELL on the finger tips!
Even in daylite, the reflection inside make vision tuff and damn near impossible at nite. The pics are through the rear window and open door. Good for tropical sun but I guess thats why its illegal here on the cars. ws

I fought window tint on my old Chris for days with a razor scraper. The tint guy took a HD razor scraper and did the other windows in minutes! Maybe stop by a auto tint place and try to buy a scraper.

The scraper is on todays agenda !! ws

Hey everyone I've been MIA for a bit but I herd the BIRD is back so I'm galavanting around to see whats up.

PS. talk all you guys want on my thred it seems to be a good hide out over here incognito :D

boat update ....I got a and an offer today and a showing sunday :D

Hey Bubbamigo,

You do realize that you can haul yourself up to Gasparilla on the GuzCruzer and write the trip off to advertising don't you?

Man I hate to see you sell that thing, but I certainly understand your motivation. We can take my boat to Mexico this summer if you find yourself with a boat without the range to make that trip.

Maybe I will end up in the charter business, and you can be my first client! You'll have to help me learn spanish though. I'll let you handle the mortgage on the new boat, and we can both write that trip off!

I would actually consider your boat, but after being on a 70CMY, I think that would be the ideal charter boat for my idea of a new marketing concept. Like everything else in my life right now, I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Aw, come on now Randy! What's 3 feet between friends? Surely a 70CMY can't be much different than Bubbamigo's 67CMY! Help a brother out (if his deal falls through)!

Either way, I'll be looking for you on one of your fleet of Hatteras' next summer on my way to the Bahamas! Whatcha gonna name the next one???

I'm helping Bubbamigo out by NOT buying his boat. That would be like marrying his ex-wife and making him watch! We'll still be cruising together no matter what he does with a boat.

There is actually a huge difference in the 67 vs 70. Full beam salon, galley up, much larger bridge, four staterooms vs 3, walk-in full beam engine room, shall I continue?

Looking forward to seeing you this spring, I think! :D

Capt Mike says I should charter her out some and help pay expenses but I just don't think there is a demand here on the West Coast??? he did say 4 rooms are better..

I don't know about demand for west coast charters, but I may very well find out. A CDR charter would have to be attractive.

I'm looking at a possible home port of Ft Myers which would give good access to the keys, outer islands, and Tortugas.

You can also easily (most days when there is enough water) cross over thru Lake O to Bahamas and beyond.

We'll see what happens, and yes, four staterooms would be a plus. Maybe you would want to do one of my redneck charters to Mexico like we talked about. You'll be able to afford my rates if you sell the GuzCruzer, and I'll make you a package deal so the whole famn damily can go too! Could bring new meaning to Cuban sandwich.
