1981 43c Refrigerator (original I believe) Kelvinator

Well, the compressor in our Kelvinator refrigerator quit on us last week. Has anyone had any luck finding a replacement R12 compressor for these old fridges? If not has anyone found a good replacement model? It is a full size fridge but is a little shorter than a typical unit. Fridge dimensions: 64 1/2” H x 31”W x 27”D. It also has an automatic ice maker. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well…… it ended up being a bad start relay. Replaced it with a new universal one and the 43+ year old fridge is back up and running.

Good it was a basic part. I also have a unique size reefer at 64.5 x 29 x 28.125, a magic chef. its old but in great shape. hoping it outlives me because nothing else will fit thats 17 CF. I clean the dust from the coils religiously.
