  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
58' TRIPLE CABIN (1970 - 1976)
I am listing this boat for a friend and fellow HOF member Al Scarborough (ascarborough) as he's spent all his years on this forum reading instead of posting. With that in mind, he wasn't able to post urls to pictures as he hasn't made the mandatory 15 posts. You may contact him via PM for additional information.

Al is the second owner of this boat and has owned it for five years. It has been meticulously maintained throughout its lifetime, but he just doesn't use the boat as he spends much of his time in Mississippi while the boat is in Ft Lauderdale. With that in mind, he has priced the boat at $125K for a quick sale. I've been on a lot of older Hatts, but friendships aside, this is one of the nicest ones I've ever seen.

Here is a short rundown of specs:

DD12V71N with less than 4K original hrs
15KW Onan with less than 500 original hrs
New AC units
Recent survey 08/2008
New bottom paint 08/2008
New carpet throughout with runners
All original interior teak in excellent condition
Exterior paint in excellent condition
Galley up, three staterooms
Customized galley with granite counter tops
New U-Line under-counter refrigerator/freezers
U-Line icemaker in cockpit
Cockpit control station with steering
2010 Garmin GPS/Chartplotter & additional electronics

WOW! Al's boat looks GREAT! What an incredible price too. Sorry he wants to get rid of it but hopefully it will go to a good home. Give Al my best if you get to see him at the beer barge again this year at FLIBS. I enjoyed meeting and indulging in mass alcohol consumption with him and everyone else during the "sister act" year. Unfortunately, it currently looks like I will probably not be able to make it again this year so you guys remember to sample all the beer barges and be sure and rip it up at the costume contest at Shooters!

GOOD LUCK with the sale Al!

Very nice looking boat!

I don't mean for this to look like a bump, but I just got a PM from a member who said he couldn't see these pictures. Anybody else having that problem?

If so, send me a PM and I'll email them to you.

Some pics don't display unless you are logged in. Could that be it?

Actually, I used photobucket so the pics would show up to those who are not registered members.

I just got another PM from that same member saying it was a firewall issue with his office computer. He can see them now. Thanks for the input.

Just a note to anyone who may be attending FLIBS next week. Al will be in Ft Lauderdale and is planning for an open house of sorts aboard his 53C for interested parties.

His boat is literally within walking distance from Bahia Mar, so it's very easy to view. Contact alscarborough via PM for details, or you can contact me.

Here you go Skip/Jim, I made it easier for you to find.

Yes, it is still available. PM ascarborough for more details.

Nice,

Did the boat sell? Do you have any other photo's?

Talked to Al a couple of days ago, and there is a deal pending. It involves a smaller trade, so you better act fast if you want a shot at this one. What more pictures do you need?

What is it selling for?

Still priced at $125K. What are you waiting for? :)

As they say, good things come to those who wait. Al just called me and said he'd take $99K for his 53C. It just ain't gonna get no better than that!
