  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
I want to thank everyone on this forum as well as Mike and Steve at Sam's for their help in my boat restoration. All work is almost done, surveys came out excellent on boat and engines and we splashed 3 weeks ago in Lake Michigan and all is well. I am including a link to a book my wife completed so that others can enjoy.

Thanks again to the Forum owners for guidance and ideas

She looks good! Nice presentation too.

Best of luck with her.

The boat looks fantastic.
I have a '76 53MY that I am slowly bringing back to her best. I was hoping you would share what type of seating you used on the bridge. Is it pontoon type and if so, what brand.

Thanks,

Jason

Wow- nice job on the refit and I love your scrap book!

Have been wanting to put together something like that showing Cinderella's transformation, but I can't seem to find the time. May be a nice winter project...

I also thought about all the "process" that goes along with a serious refit would make a great blog-- if I only knew how to put one together...(and had more than 24 hours in the day!).

Thanks for the seating info. I will check them out.

I love the photos. I wish they were a little bigger, though - they are a tad hard to see if you're looking for details like I always do. I am refurbishing my flybridge too, and I'm going to put together a "U" shaped seating arrangement with those same kind of seats that will be so much more comfortable than the original Hatteras benches (plus, the new stuff won't rot), with a removable table in the middle. And each seat module still has storage underneath. A win-win in my book.
