1970 44 TC engine mounts

Im looking to learn more about my engine mounts on my 1970 44 TC. They are very basic and don't have any rubber or silicone dampening. Should they be upgraded? Shims are showing signs of corrosion.

Maybe perform a "back down" test to make sure they're tight and nothing is moving around. Then confirm that alignment is good. I'm not sure what else to be concerned with.
