1968 41c midship state room conversion

anybody have any info or tips on converting the midship stateroom from over under bunks to a
single double bed. looks to be fairly easy just looking for tips before I start

I thought about putting some drawers pulling into the head down low to utilize the space but I would lose the volume outboard of that. Gonna be a win lose situation. A lot more room in the bunk for two but one of you better not unpack your bags. I sure hope someone comes up with a genius idea because I'm all for it.

I see it as a huge gain in storage. in that space behind the drawers just got to figure weather access from the top or bathroom 1/2 door or both
