  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
70' COCKPIT MY (1988 - 1997)
My port engine oil pressure alarm on the monitoring system always stayed on longer than the starboard engine. The pressure appears correct but the alarm continues to sound. Lately the alarm sounds longer than ever but does go off eventually and the pressure seems to be fine. Could this be a sensor going bad? How about a corroded connection? Has anyone experienced the same issue? That light staying lit for that long bothers me!

Same engines, same side, same light stays on longer but does go off. Mine shuts off after about one minute.

Just spoke with my Detroit engine Mech. and he said if he remembers correctly that there is a separate sender on the engine for the monitoring system for oil pressure beside's the one for the DDEC unit. I guess when I get down to the boat again I will have him come out and check it out. If anyone else has insight on the issue please advise. If not I will report back with any findings later.
Thanks
