  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
61' MOTOR YACHT (1980 - 1985)
Looking for advice on temp sensors…. Have single stud sensors what are the recommended replacements? Thanks
 
First you need to know if they are normally open or normally closed
 
Temp senders to an alarm?
Or temp senders to an analog gauge?
If to a gauge; VDO or SW compatible?

What ever it is for, how do you know it is bad?

Temp sender to analog original gauge…Gauge doesn’t show correct temp. (Not even close according to temp gun), disconnected wire and grounded to engine and gauge pegs to right with key on so I “assume” wiring and gauge are good).

Reads like a SW meter/gauge.
Looks like an alarm sender N/O.

Funny thing, The Hatts I work on use ZF gauges in ZF mode.
You may have a ZF or SW gauge in SW mode.

I assume it has never worked for you.

Next question, Same gauge on the fly bridge?
I remember some senders were different when driving two gauges.
