I have two 12V batts connected to an independent charger up on the bridge to run 12 V devices. I was wondering if that is standad practice for the vintage boats we have that came with a 32V system. I thin the charger has problems and wanted to consider upgrading to DC - DC voltage converters if that was what technology recommends today.
What are other here doing for 12 V power on their 32 V bridges?

Victron makes a 360 watt version that will power most electronics packages.

My 1984 has a large Newmar 32V-12V DC-DC for instruments and general stuff, and two smaller ones for the gauges. I think all may be factory but don't actually know.

Ours has a DC-DC converter which was original.
