Hatteras Model
43' CONVERTIBLE-Series I (1978 - 1983)
Working takeout from my daughter's '79 37C. I couldn't seem to get the system to keep a prime on the output side of the system, and finally gave up, bought a new toilet, and removed the old system. Only after removing all the wiring and hoses did I cut the main 2" line from the toilet to slide the toilet out from the wall and remove it. That's when I discovered that the pvc piping out of the old toilet was not glued, causing the vacuum leak that was causing the prime to be lost. At that point I wasn't about to reassemble the 45 year old system and reinstall it, so I just finished tearing out the old system and put the new toilet in. Pump is working fine. If anyone needs a spare, make her an offer.

For what it's worth, when we lost Pau Hana the original GM head pump for the aft stateroom was running like new, and hadn't been touched other than new hose to the holding tank. Those pumps are like tanks, they just keep going.

If nobody wants it, it's going in the dumpster. Speak up if you're interested.

Bob, where are you located?

I might take it if you are local to FL. If not, I'll check shipping rates.

thanks

FYI--galleymaid will pay a "core" fee if you're close to them, usually $100:)

$75 for the ones I dropped off last year.

Don’t mean to change the thread but if you haven’t settled on a pump yet I am operating a Marco pump UP14/E 12 volts 12 gpm and 40 psi Two years in with the Marco and no issues Was using headhunter Excalibur pumps, plural because they failed so often, but headhunter gave up supporting them and unceremoniously exited the 12v portion of the market. The Excalibur was awesome when it worked but the failure rate was off the charts and it was $$$$. Sad because the line voltage headhunter is an industry standard. The galley maid might make a decent mooring block for a small vessel haha

Dumpster tomorrow.
I replaced a whole GM head system on my friend boat last year.
Sat curb side for about 15 minutes before somebody grabbed up the bowel and base.
The hose went a few minutes later.
Finally, 10 days later the pump was gone.
Not sure if a scrapper or the regular refuse folk finally picked it up.

There is not much I put curbside that the scrappers do not pick up in minutes. That head pump must of scared them aweigh.
